Memory is as pliable as silly putty. Even if there are artifacts to consult, your memory of Christmases, weddings and all the other happenings in your life is a revision that will be revised every time you think about it. And nobody will remember a shared event or experience exactly the same as you. And sometimes all you have is an impression of a moment - maybe flying off a swinging rope into a childhood swimming hole, clomping around in your dad's shoes, kissing someone who is dead now and exists only as a memory.
Hence, Rain City Revisions: My uniquely misremembered embellished episodes from a life spent mostly in Seattle.
